Who I am

I have been immersed in the world of design and the promise of human potential for my entire life.

The son of an architect, I grew up in my father’s architectural practice, spending summers and holidays running the Diazo machine, cleaning up the sample room and organizing back issues of architectural journals. While an architectural student I advanced from detailing toilet rooms and stairwells to participating in the early stages of design. It never occurred to me to follow any other career path.

It was from my mother, a tireless lover of people, that I learned the power of enthusiasm and the potential of one dedicated person to change an entire community. It was from those early lessons, and her encouragement that I came to observe and appreciate the unique gifts and capabilities of the people around me.

My consulting practice has evolved from the convergence of both.
